Earthcast 2017 - April 21st - TENTH Year!

It's our tenth year! The Earthbridges Community is happy to report that Earthcast, which is a live, global webcast that will take place on April 21, 2017, a (school) day before Earth Day. Earthcast17 will be our TENTH year that the Earthbridges community has been involved in the production of this event and we hope to build upon our successes of the past in many ways.

During previous Earthcasts, we have had contributions from people on different continents broadcasting in several different languages. We hope to continue participation from more people around the globe during the upcoming Earthcast. Ways to Participate

You can participate on or before the day of the webcast (April 21, 2017)!   • Participate on the day by listening in the Live Studio and chat room.   • Leave a video message on our Flipgrid at https://flipgrid.com/earthcast.  • Create something to share during the live webcast. Contact earthbridges@gmail.com  • Webcast a live event to add to our day. Contact earthbridges@gmail.com to reserve a time slot. (We use Google Hangouts on Air.)   

Earthcast Echo - Webcasts During The Year

During the year, we will be webcasting live on various topics. Please join us by listening to the stream and participating in the chat room. (Past events are posted below.)In the past, we have interviewed Col. Joe Kittinger. He holds the record for the longest free fall from 19 miles! His height record was just broken. Students also interviewed Gregory Whitney, NASA, Flight Director. He is also a former student from our school, Rye Jr High School, in Rye, NH. (Sheila Adams - Webcaster)

Pledge to go Paperless on Earth Day 2010!

Steve Katz is leading an effort asking people to go paperless on Earth Day 2010. Whether you are a student, teacher, parent, administrator, or school staff member, please consider making this pledge for Earth Day 2010 (April 22nd). Encourage others to do so as well!

AP Environmental Science Teacher Bob Murphy and his students from *Westlake HS in Austin, TX USA participate in Earthcast 2009 by sharing stories from their field experiences. Click here to access the podcast recording.

We're happy to report that Bob and his 121 students will be participating live again this year in Earthcast! Bob's students will also be creating a series of pre-recorded podcasts on a variety of environmental topics. These podcasts will be featured during Earthcast 2010 on April 22nd. 

Earthcast 2010 Challenge

Are you ready for a challenge? Watch this short, inspirational, 1-minute video created by Matt Montagne and accept the challenge for Earth Day 2010. We can ALL do this!!

THE CHALLENGE:
Find ONE thing you can do in your community to make it a little greener. Create a short video response, and post it to YouTube with the tag earthcast10. Videos will be played live during the 24-hour Earthcastathon on April 22 at http://earthbridges.net/live
